Happy new year chaps! I hope your 2017 has many pleasurable hours at the bench. First kit for the year, DG Artwork's 14th Century Italian knight. Painted in acrylics with oil and ink washes to weather the metals. All the leather parts were painted using Scale 75's Wood and Leather paint set. The shield design I took from a period drawing of a tournament, that I suspect may actually be German. However it's easy to assume a member of that house may have travelled to Italy to offer service as a mercenary.

Beautiful...great work. I think the injured lip brings even more drama to the face.
The armour and metal work are very realistic as are the leather item's. I like the shield nice freehand. Overall an excellent display piece .....very nice indeed....John
