Hi all, I think I’m done with this piece. 1/16 figure of a British officer in Italy in spring 1945. He is based on some comments in my grandpas memoir and I’ve tried to imitate the uniform he describes. I had wanted to put something like this together for a while but it wasn’t until I saw a Tim Godden painting of an officer in Normandy that I worked out what I wanted to do with the background.

Anyhow, figure sculpted by me, Redees head, royal model hands and some 3D printed accessories, all painted with acrylics apart from a dab of oil on leather and wood. I’m always open to critique so please do chip in with any tweaks or improvements you can suggest.

Excellent, I can't really fault your work even to offer constructive criticism, your work just keeps getting better in great leaps and bounds. The only thing I can suggest is more time glazing your shade and highlights to give a more subtle transition, that's not a fault just a style.

Cheers Simon

You have done a great job Stefan in creating your own unique figure, careful though it can become addictive :)

Thanks Steve, and thanks for your range of heads, they are ace! Lots of the heads out there are a bit 'chiselled hollywood star' for my projects but your range are perfect for steadfast Tommies.

I'd love to see more (plus some hands in a matching scale).

Hi Stefan

Thanks for the pics and the great V bench https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/two-british-1-16-figures.687636/

The figure looks good, do like the basework as well, cleverly thought out , the El Duce image is a nice idea

The blending been mentioned but if I might suggest more edge definition on belts ..just my thoughts
