Winegums...preferably english ones but anysort will do....I can get through a whole half kilo in one sitting. I end up feeling a bit  though...:)

I keep a jar of m&m's on the floor next to the bench and I play the game that I can only have five at a time until I reach a painting goal, But I mostly enjoy a cup of tea, then paint until I can no longer feel my legs.

No food or drink allowed. I'm all business at the workbench. The only exception to my otherwise Zen Master existence in the hobby room is a bit of music. My favourite is the DVD set of the BBC Radio series of the Lord Of The Rings.

My long-time "house drink" of choice is a mix of lemonade and iced tea (Country Time & Lipton crystals), variously known as a half-and-half, or an Arnold Palmer (apparently it's the famous golfer's favorite, as well). Commercial versions are available from Snapple, Nantucket Nectars and Arizona, which are fine, but mine is cheaper and I can fiddle with the proportions. Rarely snack at the bench - it's a distraction as others have stated. CDs and the iPod provide background music - from the Fab Four to Springsteen, from Bonnie Raitt to Adele, lots of singer/songwriters, the occasional soundtrack (Wicked is a current favorite), and newly-discovered a cappella groups (Straight No Chaser).
