Does anyone know anything about the historical background of this figure..?

...the uniform is the one of a musician of Zouave Regiment of the Imperial Guard of Napoleon III, in 1868. The man was Henry Jacob, a guy that, after his first part of life as a soldier (he made the Crimea and Algeria campaign), became more and more famous, starting from 1860, as medium and healer in all Europe, under the name of "Jacob le Zouave".
