A very Standard Class entry in fact my fifth ever figure.

Life Miniatures, 1/35 Red Army sniper. Painted with AK acrylics and Scale75 flesh acrylics.

I used to make model tanks, then went overseas for a few years to work and modelling not an option. On return last November I found I was more interested in figures. Come lockdown in March I started. Figure 1 a disaster and binned. No 2 had armour and that worked. Encouraged. No 3 a Frank Miniatures Hessian jäger not too bad. No 4 an SK, Mike Blank, 1670 British officer a tad better.

The sniper is my smallest figure yet and I am reasonably happy with it. I can, of course, see lots of areas for improvements...

My January FOTM standard entry is a 1:10 scale resin bust of August Piccard made by Scientificmodels of Italy. Excellent sculpting, casting and fit.

Painted using Vallejo products. Eyeglass lenses were made using Vallejo Still Water (#26230).

After a long time gap, have restarted painting figures. Enjoying it.
