Thanks, Jamie.
The officer has a rest from shout. He smiles. :D

Alexander,

if there's some reason for me not to do anything japanese it would be the poor presence of japanese heads and tools, for instance the Arisaka.

Beautifully done, love this pose and the katana ofcourse.
Marvelous facial expression, especially the typical grin on his face.

I have always wanted to work on a Japanese, I will examine yours carefully.
The fact that Asian people are somewhat smaller, is this something in general to consider doing your measurements?

René

Thanks.

The figure became at a size of 90 mm. I tried to make proportions of the Asian do not correlate with the European. Just 90 mm.
Dan
he really looks a bit long-waisted.

Nice piece!!

Speaking of Japanese, does anyone have a good formula for WWII Japanese uniform tan?

I'm oils over acryllics but haven't found a comfortable combination for these uniforms.

Again... Very enjoyable looking piece!! Agreed to see a quiet stance in a Japanese figure!

According to Wiki Answers (and I don't know that I trust this!!), the average height of Japanese men now is 172.2 cm (5'7.8"). Wikipedia says about the same thing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_height

Pre-WWII - just a guess - maybe 5'4" or 64 inches = 162.56 cm or 5'5" or 65 inches or 165.1 cm.

Maybe somebody else can speak to the anatomical proportions for Orientals issue. Einion frequently has good background info on such things. As far as reducing the long waist look in your figure, I know of no way other than to take a 1 or 2 mm or so section out of the middle and re-position buttons and things. I've done it before. It takes patience and some courage. I'm not sure I'd be willing to do it with a completely finished figure like yours.

All the best,
Dan

Thanks, ookami, Kevin D.,Adrian.

I agree with that fact that the Japanese man of average growth in the WWII was approximately 165 centimetres. For scale 1/35 it is necessary to observe growth proportions. If the figure becomes 90 mm it should correspond to the declared size. If to clean katana and nearby to put the guy from Oklahoma with 'tommygun" in hands then a figure of the Japanese there should be 75 mm. ;) Such is my opinion.
