Hello Guys,

I finished yesterday evening my painting of the beautifull figure Jean Le Bon.
He was King of France and lived from 1319-1364.
It was a great pleasure to paint him with the smell of oilpaint ;)

So let me hear what you think of it.

Marc

Excellent work on the blue's and the fleur d'lys. Would love to seem some closer pics of the armor and face if you can :)

That's a great piece of painting Marc. You really did great with this beautiful figure. As Keith said, I would also like to see some closer pictures.

This figure just draws your eye right in.

"It was a great pleasure to paint him with the smell of oilpaint."

I was tempted to chuck the oils a couple years back. They just seem to have a place that nothing else can fill.

Hey Marc

Very nice painted. It's looks very very good. And I love the blue.
You getting better everytime Marc.
Keep up the good work

Greetings Dick ;)

Ps kan morgen weer niet komen moet weer werken.

Marc,
nice stuff! He looks to have turned out well! Do you have a Macro mode on your camera? It is a mode that allows closer focus when you want more detail. It is usually a setting represented by a small flower icon on the camera. Dig around a bit I bet you find it! Also, if you are not using a flash, which it looks like you are not (good job!) the camera tends to let the aperture stay open a long time. This causes bluriness due to movement. See if you can force the aperture settings to a higher speed to steady your shot. You may have to light it a bit more, but it usually solves the issue. Keep up the good work!

Really nice work . i like the blue and its shading and also the metals on the final look. They look "really heavy ". I also have this figure , and you motivated me to undust the shelve !!. Nice work my friend ! Waiting for the next one
