Now the second creation. Again a Historex Academy Figure with resin head and hands, the rest is Magicsculpt, paper, plastic and a bit of paperclip to make the crop. Painted in acrylics.

Nice, nice, nice.
And original, too. A striking piece of work.
Being able to scratch build what you want is a real asset.

Neil and David, cheers gents, again pleased with how he has come out.

It's taken many years to be able to produce the figures I want to paint, I've been converting since the 80's but it's only in the past 10 years or so I've produced the kinds of results I like. Started with figures in dioramas then I decided to cut out the ground work and vehicles and concentrate on the figures, glad I did.

Another fine result , my favourite , this guys got attitude, liking the painting particularly the red

The V Bench was fun to follow https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/french-legionnaire-spanish-officer-colonial-service.684366/

Again thanks Kev, I found the illustration for this on Pintrest and it was immediately high on the to do list.

Could you do me a favour though, damn spell checker decided his name was Jeffrey, it supposed to be "Jeffe" which I assume is Spanish for Chef or Chief, the edit facility won't let me change the title, so if possible can you do it for me please.

Cheers Simon

This is the better one of the two. Let me know what you think....
It really is good, Simon. You might have found your niche here. I can just tell by looking that you really enjoyed doing him. Thanks for sharing with us. (y)

Kev, Steve, BP, Melanie and Joe, thank you all for your kind words, I am very pleased with him and that you all like it.

BP, yes I think this is the better of the two, however the Legionnaire is my favourite if I were to choose, simply because I have wanted to make him far longer.

Cheers Simon
