This is a nice sculpt but I just wish the manufacturers would produce something different, How many Coldstreams, 95th Rifles, KGL etc, etc figures do you want in the cabinet. I've been going through my stash and sorting out all of the duplicates, the same applies to Napoleonics. For example I had six 95th rifles and four KGL figures.

There is so much out there but a distinct lack of adventure by the producers.

Add WSS, Knights Templars, and 5th New York Zouaves to the list ;)

Or, perhaps a desire to actually make enough money to pay the bills?

As a person who always loves something a little different or even unique, I always find myself doing the same stuff. Why? because people buy them. All that other stuff? That is for hobbyists - not professionals. If modelers actually bought the stuff you guys always "wish" for, you would see plenty of it.

But sadly, I have to pay my bills with my production. Thus, you will continue to see more of the same stuff. I truly wish it were otherwise......

So very very true
Bit like Crimean Zouaves and Besaglieris, sadly interest and excitement doesn't equal sales
Total sales, a loss :-(
I will stick to Mikes philosophy and others in the future :)

Love the pose on this one

Mike and Graham,

I can see your point of view, perhaps things will change when everyone tires of the same old things being rolled out, sales will dip and then perhaps you guys will have something less boring to produce.

I think it is a bit of a vicious circle, if no-one takes a risk then we will never know., Some really nice pieces are being produced by some of the smaller Hobbyist companies and modelling clubs but of course they are for pleasure rather than profit with limited quantities...I suppose there is room for both.....I'll dream on;)
