I have started on this figure,cleaning up the parts etc, but the entrenching tool has a piece on the top of it? is this a piece of flash or is it meant to be there?. also has anyone got photos of a completed model that I can use for reference. can anyone tell me a good humbrol enamel mix for german uniform green/grey. thank you. badger.

I guess it is the bayonet that is attached to the entrenching tool.
