Good to see this subject as a bust , very colourful , great painting by Eric , be interesting to see how the monocle is done ...I can well imagine lots of different versions being done of this and other regiments like the 1914 Indian bust from JMD .
Will definately be getting this one for sure , hope to do a review as well when I do .

As you might have guessed we all rather like this , great to see the master as well , ....... is this based on a picture ?
Is there a reason that one of the medals are longer ? ...excuse my asking but I love all the finer details on this and all of JMD's busts .

I made this bust with the invaluable assistance of my friend Jean-Claude COLRAT who notament wrote this great book "The cavalry of the Indian Army":

Thanks so much for your references ..should have guessed really as I have this great book in my "small" library ...the medals he wears are very interesting indeed and add another great bit to the bust .
The character is spot on , this is destined to become another classic IMO

If painted as different regiment(s) then the shoulder lace must be removed, but this is a great sculpt anyway. I love it.
