Sorry guys I had to do it, its just such a nice looking bust, so here is the mid way shots, still lots to do finish on the flesh, more blending on the collar, finish the beard and the leather, then give the uniform a very light controlled wash of black, before I finish off with the metals........

Hahaha! It's the eyes that give me that feeling as well so it's not just you Tony. One of my favourite ever films by the way.

Outstanding work Dave.

I like the way the bust is already looking. When this bust was released, I was eyeing it out (and still am). Two quick questions:

1. What was the casting like on your bust?
2. Can the turban be painted in other colour schemes? (I am no expert in this period and would appreciate input).

Hi Guys

Thanks very much, I really enjoyed painting this one, its not quite reality and its not quite fantasy, it is in that grey area between, so this gave me the freedom to to give it extreme highlights and shadows, its worked as a push for me to use other painting techniques that I usually dont use on military stuff, but it seems to have worked well......

Franco - I followed the box art supplied, so no real reference used. As for casting and sculpting, there is no other resin caster out there at the moment JMD busts and figures are some of the best on the market...... just go for it.
