Hi everyone;

I would like to present to you my latest effort, which is JMD's recent release of an Austrian Alpine soldier from 1915. What a pleasure it was to build and to paint; I would have no hesitation to recommend this figure to anyone with an interest in WW I figures. If anyone has any questions or comments I would be happy to respond.

Thanks Jamie. I think it was the fact that the subject was rather uncommon that attracted me to this figure to begin with. The lighter shade of blue was also kind of unusual for me, so it was fun to paint.

Good work Glenn., but why choosing for the yellow glass.
I'm going to buy this figure next weekend. I've seen it in Montrouge a couple of months ago and then it was not ready for production.
From that moment on i know i wanted one.
The quality of the figures from JMD are absolutely great.

Thanks Roger, Guy and Marc. I chose the yellow simply because that was the only colour in Tamiya clear paint I had. I am going to go to my local model shop and pick up something along the lines of a dark green and see if that makes an improvement.

My favourite subject! Good work. The lences were dark green. The uniform may look blue but it was pike-grey so it looked blue-ish.

All the best,
Primož

I checked in the book. The lenses were dark green and also dark brown. The clasp on the underside of the collar that you have painted black was in fact the same colour as the coat. Otherwise it seems OK. I know it's a small scale but the only thing I would try to add is that pointy metal piece (sorry,I don't know the word) on the left side of the muzzle of the rifle.
