Other than the house lines I mention above I think Escoda, Raphaël and daVinci are the brands to try.

Tips on how to assess brush quality in the shop in this old thread from 2005 in case they're of any help. There are brand recommendations there too as well as more in post #11 below it.

P.S. Rosemary & Co. brushes are very good quality and a super price, well worth considering no matter where in the world you're based, only thing to bear in mind is their slightly softer tufts which may not suit you if you've become accustomed to lots of spring.

Thanks Einion. I use the Da Vinci and I think they are as good as the WN, the only problem is that their tip is larger than the series 7's (even their 000), so for my taste (and my lack of ability) they are difficult to use if I have to paint small details. Sometime I have to resort to the series 7 miniature, the Da Vinci are way bigger than that.
