Hi Marc ,
Beautiful sculpting , love the hair , and the way you have done the armour , my only comment is perhaps she is too glamourous/film starry ...but not having met her who knows !!! ... It is a lot better I feel than the old EVD bust ....

Just had a look at your aims when sculpting and you have achieved what you wanted ...WELL DONE

Thanks for the nice comments.

'perhaps she is too glamourous/film starry'
A good thing for a court artist to achieve, so no be-heading for me:eek:
Yet..hehe

Marc ,
You are too modest , if your painting is half as good as your sculpting then WOW!!!!!!

Is there any particular period that you like sculpting ...off to trawl through my rather large reference collection for idea's

Awww, gone all bashful now:eek:

I do have soft spot for things prior 2008, hmmm.
but to narrow it down medieval , renaissance etc
It can be tricky because primarily i love people but ancient times can make for a more romantic setting.
I have been toying with doing Thomas Becket, but also love the idea of another female.
Just pure character studies are great too, think Bruegel etc.
I also started a whopping great Napoleon bust a while back, but he is twice the size of Joan.

Hi Marc,

I missed this thread for some reason and having just read it and looked at your vBench, I wanted to let you know what a superb job you've done sculpting this bust. As others have mentioned the finish on the armour appears flawlessly smooth. The face has an appropriately angelic quality to it.

Well done mate.
