Jochen Peiper Bust

Hello guys,

This is my latest painted figure....not so good as all you here on Figureplanet, but I try it.
The face is done with oils and for the rest I used Humbrol, Revell and Tamiya paints.

Old man Jochen is looking good to me. he looks very real and i'm telling you that flesh tones are so very realistic. i cant get over how real and kinda on the cold side that your Jochen looks. keep up the good work and lets see some more, Please my man Mr. Erwin.

Nice work. Timely as well, I am doing the same bust. A question that I have asked on another form: is the piping on is hat meant to be silver or pink/red because of his panzer division affiliation. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Peiper is wearing an old style field cap. These were authorized to have unit waffenfarbe for a mere 6 months in 1940 (May to November). Prior to and after that time, the piping was to be white. I don't believe that Peiper was serving with an armored unit during tose months, thus he likely was only entitled to the
white piped cap. That is not to say that these might have been privately made with colored piping.

This is what Ron Volstad told me.
So he's wearing a very old cap, from the beginning of the war.
I have a color picture of Peiper and there you can see it is silver/white.
Shouldertabs are pink.
