Hello!

Here are a few shots of a bust I made of second President and Founding Father John Adams. This 200mm bust will be released soon from Military Miniature Warehouse. These are shots of the master I took just prior to my final revisions before I shipped it out for production. Final revisions included adding button hole details to the jacket and some rework on the eyes, eyebrows and cheeks. I didn't get any final shots after the revisions, I'm afraid, but these pics should give you an idea of the final piece. It was a fun project to do and I think more to come like this one soon.

Thanks for looking!

Matt

I don't know this guy. But when he was the second president of the USA it is a very important person. So i think there where alot of pictures availeble and you could sculpt him lifelike.
I believe you have don that because i find it excellent.

Wonderful sculpt and terrific likeness. I have mild reservations about the hair as I think that it could some out looking like a sponge unless very carefully painted. If I had a casting topaint I would probably try to fill in some of the more porous areas to let them take paint more smoothly. Just my 2 cents worth though.

Colin,

Thanks for the feedback. I was unsure about the hair, myself. I originally did it more flowing like real hair, but the effect wasn't right. I tried this method which I think is closer to the wigs that were worn and also closer to the painting. I think you're right. Careful painting will bring out the best in it.

Thanks again for your critique,

Matt
