A marvelous figure.

Would it be accurate to portray him with the Stonewall Jackson figure I wonder??? I ask as the ACW isn't really my period.

Cheers

I think it was at the Battle of Antietam, that Hoods brigade came to the relief of Stonewall Jackson's brigade, I don't know if they ever met.

They had to have met....often. Based on button grouping, the model appears to show Hood as Maj. Gen. or Lt. Gen. So that dates him after Oct. '62. Jackson died May '63 so there is your window. Sadly the only major eastern battle in this time was Chancellorsville, where Jackson died. Most of Longstreet's Corps including Hood's command, was detached. Detailed research would be needed to see if they were involved in any smaller actions or excercises....or you could change the buttons to 4 groups of two on each side and make him a Brig. Gen.

Thank you Colin. That gives me a nice timescale - now to see if the figures match in reality.

They both would have met at Fredricksburg as Hood pluged a gaping hole which Jackson had mistakenly left in his line which the Union were in the process of exploiting and saved the day.
