That's is usually how fast I paint, I really kind of thought three hours was on the long side for something like this. I'm no stranger to small scale figures and actually spend more time on them as the details are tiny and just more time consuming.
As far as flesh mix I use Titanium white, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Cerulean Blue, Cadmium Red, and Raw Umber. I also use a layering technique where I lay down a flesh colored base, then use different shades of washes, to achieve the ultimate desired shade and a bit of translucency.
My name is Altug, although I am very new to planetfigure site I've been in figure painting world for some time now. I just have few complete figures at the moment, however I fully committed myself to finish the ones that I have, with fully understanding the techniques.
Would that be possible to send your work's pictures to my personal e-mail address. I also like to work with pastel myself, so I am sure would be a great oppurtunity for me to check some of other examples, if this is okay for you.
...can't believe it's a sculpture...and a painting work!Never seen something so real ever!!!..No words enough to say how good is a work like thaht one!!..
