This is JMD's figure of an officer of the 20th Maine. It's about 65mm tall. I resculpted the head to try to do my own take on Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain. I did a mixture of carving away and some putty work. Pretty much every part of the original head was altered in the end.

He's depicted on Little Round Top on the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg, 2 July, 1863. I used Vallejo, Andrea and Scale75 acrylics.

Brilliant conversion work Edward and the painting is, as expected from you, excellent. Personally I like the face you have created much better and it certainly looks like Chamberlain.
