Stalin takes command!
1941. Things are getting worse and worse at the front, the Hitler Wehrmacht achieves one success after the other and is already deep in the land!
On July 19, 1941, Yossif Stalin fired the former People's Commissar for Defence, Semyon Alekseevich Tymoshenko...
... and takes over the office himself!
Tymoshenko escapes with his life, but receives an ascension command:
He will succeed the recently executed Commander-in-Chief of the Western Front, General Dmitry Grigoryevich Pavlov...:
More far-sighted than his opponent, the German "Führer" Adolf Hitler, Stalin does not surround himself with toady-licks and "nickasses", but appoints capable military personnel to his staff - and above all: he listens to them!
Stalin's deputy will be Army General Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov...:
The following additional persons belong to the supreme command "Stawka":
General Aleksandr Michailowitsch Wassilewskij…:
Army general Alexei Innokentjewitsch Antonow…:
General Nikolaj Alexandrowitsch Bulganin (here with Shukow)…:
... and admiral Nikolai Gerassimowitsch Kusnezow…:
