The White Rose Military Modelling Society have a Big Announcement to make......
On Saturday the 5th June 2021
we will be hosting a new Model Show called "The White Rose Figureworld North" to be held at the Galtres Centre in the North Yorkshire town of Easingwold. The venue is available to view on the Galtres centre web site.
The Town itself is between York And Thirsk, offering plenty of cafes around the town square, free parking in Easingwold and at the centre itself.
The show will be open from 10am until 4pm with a large Traders hall, Competition room and Club stands.
The competition is open to all forms
of models associated with our hobby. More information about the categories and entries will be available early next year.
Traders can start setting up the stalls from 08.30 on the day to be ready to open at 10am. If you are interested in trading at the show would you please contact:-
Richard Wharton at [email protected]
Or Ring on 01132719595 for information.
We hope, with your support, the show can be a once a year event.
I'll keep everyone up to date on a regular basis.

Count me in Ian! If the increase in attendance and the quality of work on display at the WR Xmas bash (sadly cancelled this year) in recent years is anything to go by, this has the potential to become a major event on the UK show calendar. Fingers crossed that that the politicians will have allowed things to return to something resembling normal by then.

Pity there's no rail link. Just way too awkward for a 1 day show, don't fancy a seven hour drive in one day anymore.
Fingers crossed it comes to pass. And congratulations for the ambition(y)

Make a week end of it Del, York and Leeds have a lot of stuff worth seeing, you could even bring SWMBO with you and set her amongst the shops

I am willing to be chauffeur for the day. Have pencilled it in on my callender.

Thanks for the offer mate but........ The problem is it's a one day show. The only one day event in England that's practical for the 4 of us is really only S&L, meet at central, 06.50 train, breakfast and refreshments on board and suddenly we're in Darlington, 5 minute taxi and we're at the show for the whole day, Chinese meal, train back to Glasgow, a couple more pints and tucked up in bed by midnight ..........creatures of habit.
It' a great pity 2 day shows are few, S&L and Scale Scotland would be perfect for expansion but it's a huge ask for the organisers.

Great to see this announcement and that it includes a FigureWorld as well

Probably a little far ( not risking SWMBO near shops ..lol )

I am sure it will be a great day and hope we see pictures

No probs, as it happens I am flexible on timings anyway.
If S&L is on, I would love to go there with you guys.

Unfortunately due to government restrictions until June 21st we have cancelled the 2021 show. Unable to secure a booking at the venue later in the year the venue is now booked for June 11th 2022.

We hope to see you there.

Keith

Shame that but understandable.
