Looks like fun to paint. How heanvy would this be? Is it a smile or a grimace?
Cheers
Derek

Looks to be a FAB 50 bomb, so 50kgs/110 pounds, so I think he just blew a hernia!

I'm sure someone'll correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like a FAB 50SV (I loves playing IL-2 Sturmovik computer game, me) so it'd weigh anything from 49 (and a bit) kg in 1940 up to about 63kg later on. I doubt he'd be smiling for long.

ETA: OK, JasonB and I cross-posted (even chose the same smiley).

ETA more: What's the message? Something nasty and disobliging addressed to Mr. Hitler I believe?

think this was done after an real war time photo
surely it was empty and only presented for propaganda
i like it and waited some months for it to be released
smashy item
cheers

thanks for your comments Guys.I based this bust on a wartime photo .I doubt somehow that the photographer would have "emptyed "the bomb for the sake ofthis pose as the pilot does show some strain even though he,s smiling.
Cheers
Andy
