Here are a couple of Hope Kachinas I did a few years ago. The figures start out as nude Historex figures. The clothing and accessories are made from two part putty. The feathers are carved from plastic with a hot knife. I lived in Arizona a became fascinated by the Kachina culture of the Hopi Indian tribe. The single figures is the Eagle Kachina and the three figures represent three "manas" or maidens. Although female in form they are actually men in women's costume as women cannot be members of the Kachina cult. Hope you like them.
