Moving on from the 101st airborne,I decided the next project would be the Life Miniatures -King Tiger Tank Commander -Hungary 1944/45
Beautifully sculpted bust and one I really wanted to paint up.
Assembly was straight forward, hardly any filling required, care must be taken though with the headphone and neck cables as these resin parts are very brittle, wire is included in the kit for the fitting of the cables.

It can be painted in the reversible / cammo smock, choice is entirely up to the painter,I opted for the white side,as the unit was fighting in the winter months of 44 / 45 and it was a better fit for what my vision was.

The base I knocked up to give it a little interest,Tiger ll number 233 fought in Budapest in 44 putting down a revolt by the Hungarian government,Tank 233 was a fully zimmeritted tiger so I incorporated the zimmeritt, with some zimmeritt damage added as well.

A great piece by Life miniatures.

Beautiful work Smudger, real character in the face and good wear and tear on the uniform, particularly like how you've got the splinter pattern on the inside of the smock.

Cheers Simon

I think the whole thing is really cool! All well done and I really dig the base. Zimmerit!...really imaginative and clever. Sets him off nicely. Thanks for showing us.
