Dear customers,

Knight Models™ is proud to present a new miniature line a bit different from our previous Marvel™ and Star Wars™ lines. The Military Series, we will keep all the features of the Knight Models™ stile from the tin box packaging to the careful figure design and even a higher quality casting. This new line is also in the 70mm tall range and includes a BIO Card with a brief story or the character or his/her unit. We are really excited about this new line and hope you like and enjoy collecting and painting it.
Sincerely,
Knight Models Team

Great both pieces. Love the new line. Since it is a Special Force I will buy it. Hopefully you would not mind me suggest adding to the new line few Navy Seals from Vietnam War. Some of them in 70mm scale would be my dream come true :)

They are not referred as Green Berets, that was a media name from the 60's, they are officially known as S.F. operators or team members.

But it is one of the finest figures that I have ever seen! WOW!

Come come Mr Patrick! Jar jar's the tops, how could you not like him with quotes like this? "Oh, no! Ay-yee-yee! Wha! Was'n dat. Hey, wait! Oh, mooie-mooie! I love you! I spake. No, no. Mesa stay. Mesa culled Jar Jar Binks. Mesa your humble servant"
Carl.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! My point EXACTLY!!! Although you did bring a rather large smile to my face trying to read that. A much needed smile as my head is POUNDING right now.

I think the SF guy looks good.
Being totally anal about it, if he were a lefty, his knee pad should be on the other knee (its usually on the knee that they would kneel on to fire, left knee for a lefty) and the pistol would likely be on his left side. As it is, he would have to draw it, then transfer it over to his shooting hand. I guess he could just be holding the rifle temporarily in his left hand, but thats a little odd and not natural for a right hander to do. Also, I have never seen 2 tone parts like that, but thats a painting thing. Just being overly picky, I'm sure.

Actually Jason, having a painted weapon (the plastic parts or the two tone as you say) is quite normal amongst the Secial Operators (both SF and Navy SEALs).

Please have a look at these pictures of Navy SEALs in action (either Iraq or The Stan). I was quite suprised to discover this as well but I guess their budgets aren't quite what the average Soldier, Marine or Airman is allocted. LOL.

Jim Patrick

BTW- I also believe the colored parts are due mostly to the Special Operators purchasing the weapons (or parts for) outside the normal military supply systems.

Hi Jim,
Yeah, I was aware the SF guys camo'd their weapons, but if you look at the fig, notice that the "bands" on the barrel are painted, while the barrel itself is not, like they are separate parts, which they are not. Same thing with the receiver. The upper part is unpainted while the lower part is (and it doesn't appear to be at the break point of the upper and lower receiver)and the ACOG scope being painted in a 2 tone pattern is...different. Almost a little too...fanciful or neat, with this part painted and that one not. The camo on the real things are pretty much just spray painted on for the most part. I have seen multicolor schemes and overall sand, but not one that specific with certain parts painted and others not.Again, its a painting thing so its up to the painter, but it looks a little odd to me. As you point out, theres plenty of pics on the web to let the painter do it in whatever way he feels is best.
Cheers
Jason

After looking at the pics a little more closely, I can see what you're talking about now Jason. The collapsible stock and hand grips I can see painted in different colors. The bottom receiver (it's the same part as the top, not two seperate items) and the sight aperature should all be gunmetal/blackish to match the rest of the parts. You are also correct in that if the painter should choose to camo his M-4, he should camo it all, not some parts.

But wouldn't he look so much cooler with a silencer on the end?

Jim Patrick
