Hi all, I 3D printed this crusader and painted him up last month but I only just got him on a base. The figure was nice and it was fun painting the armour etc. I wanted to try to paint ‘white’ fabric without using any white and I’m pretty pleased with the linen texture I managed. I very much regretted starting such a heavily textured approach but it worked out ok. Enjoy!

Nice one, I'm guessing it fairly large to be able to get the texturing into the cloth which works really well. Impressive linen without white paint, the shade helps trick the eye into seeing the white.

Very nice, the linen looks really good, well worth the effort. Maybe a bit blotchy on the cloak though? Have you tried multiple passes with different colours to build up the texture?

Very well-made and painted, Stefan. I know exactly what you mean about painting textures. Once you start, it's hard to stop. And...it is so tedious it takes the fun out of it. Well done, and thanks for sharing it with us.

Cheers chaps, it's pretty massive.

Yeah, I did use multiple passes with a range of shades but struggled to get small enough spots and if I'm honest after doing the linen I came pretty close to abandoning it half way through the cloak.
