A huge and probably very expensive kit which I tend to think will be priced out of reach for most modellers. Although I am sure that by looking at the quality of the kit some will think it a good investment.

Anyone with a specific interest in large-scale WWII German artillery pieces will probably be doing cartwheels over this and will be happy to pay whatever the price is (assuming that Jeff's willing to sell to them).

But unless you've got the artillery kit to go with them, what else do you do with them? Because here we have half a dozen figures in identical grey uniforms and in very similar poses, basically just standing around not really doing much.

They look like decent enough sculpts though.

As is doing the laundry or sleeping....but who wants to paint a figure doing these things either?

As Steve said, they are very nice indeed and 'work' in a crew setting with a field gun as depicted but not much else. Perhaps some slight variation with one or two absent a greatcoat or even a change of headdress to create some additional interest. Ultimately, each to their own and all that.

Reseeing the pictures (a bit drunken to be honest) makes a bit of a strange feeling. In general for a jeff shiu it looks to cean and from the finish to smooth. I have the feeling that many parts of the bodys maybe are pirated from other kits (some arms are looking a bit to big like verlindens) ...

"LAH soldier separates whites" could be an untapped market... there is a good scene in Ethan Hawke's movie "Good kill" where he's a drone operator watching over four US SF as they sleep on patrol in Afghanistan. Again, potential...
