Paul, whats wrong with ladies? There are plenty of female figures around, and mostly well received.
They would not be my first choice of Waterhouse's paintings, but I imagine "Magic Circle", "Circe" and "The Siren" would all appeal to the fantasy brigade and the pure painters out there, especially considering the interest being shown in this thread.
What model did you use for the horse conversion? The finished version is so spot on to the painting it must have taken some work! Do you have any photos of the in progress work?

David absolutely nothing wrong with ladies just not done many of them. The horse was a miniart horse originally, sorry i dont have any pics left of the progress work as i did it a few years ago i had to make room for other stuff. If i get time ill have a go at a Waterhouse, ill sculpt it you can paint it
