Many thanks Rick,in my early diorama Modeling days over 20 years ago I was fascinated by the great diorama modellers how they weathered their figures and AFVs,I also used to love looking at the great battle paintings as well from the ACW and Napoleonic wars showing soldiers in the thick of warfare,personally for me I like to portray a soldier in the field on campaign.Hello Brian:
One of the things that I've noticed about your figure work,
regarding historical figures is that you paint the figure implying
that this soldier has seen combat, and has been in the thick of it.
I admire that so much about the way you paint the face, the
uniform, the equipment belts, et cetera. Your work has the
atmosphere, drama, and tension of what combat might have
been like. I was in the US Army but I never saw combat. So
I use the term "might have been like". . . as I do not personally
know. But my imagination tells me, you have the feel for it.
Regardless, this is really first class work, Brian. And the

Ha ha,I would love to go up on that stage one day Brian,I'll keep at it though and perhaps I may achieve my wish one yearThere's no guarantees with the judges at Euro.It's always nice to get awarded for your work,but i've already got my award,from you fellas and your comments and my first gold on Putty and Paint,which is another award i appreciate.Good luck with your diorama Brian,as it's a deserving piece of work,and remember not to fall off the stage
