awesome work, this was one of my favorite busts to paint. I really like the treatment of the armor and the blood splatters. You can tell this guy kicks butt for a living.
 
This is exactly the level of talent and attention to detail that Young's busts deserve. Owning one myself I know the texture of the armour is super realistic. Still it is no mean feast to maintain that feel after several layers of paint.

The metals are done with a thin coat of Eckart Classica Silver an Revel Iron (Nr. 91)
sealed with several thin coats of Tamiya Smoke. Then I´ve applied some washes with vandyke brown and a little bit burnt umber. After all was completly dry I used printers ink silver for some lights.

really like what you have done with this bust, great painting all round and your method of replicating steel is very effective. Looks like he has been doing a lot of shoulder barging to good effect with those spikes.
