I received my Landsknecht from Yury today taking almost 3 weeks to arrive from Russia. Well worth the wait as you will see.

As you can see my copy arrived in a beautiful dove tailed wooden box and upon opening the box found all the parts compartmentalized with the feathers and the head in their own respective zip-lok bags. Pieces of foam were carefully cut to keep the parts separate during shipping. A small paper band was around the box with a photo of the sculpted bust. Some of the best quality packaging I have ever seen in the 30+ years of figures arriving.

Above you see the parts out of the box and the bags and laid out for inspection. The head, chest, hat and two feathers are all well cast. The only seam line I found was on the top of the head (which cleaned off quickly) and some clean-up needed around the edge of the hat.

Above you see many different views showing the head and the tremendous amount of detail Yury has sculpted into the face and hair. The beard stubble really adds to the overall look of the bust.

Above you see the four sides of the hat showing the tremendous detail of the attached feather as will as the texture of the fabric of the hat. A small air hole will need an easy fill as well as the outside rim of the hat will need clean-up prior to painting.

In the above photos and at the bottom of the previous posting you see various views of the chest section of the bust kit. There are a couple of close-ups above that show the detail in the shirt, necklace and jacket of the Landsknecht.

Above you see the hat, head and chest all dry-fitted together. An excellent fit with no major clean-up required.

Conclusion:
This has got to be one of the best bust kits I have ever seen on the market. Although I hear we may not see the box appear in the future when Yury releases his next work I feel the quality of sculpting and casting will push Yury to the front of the hobby with his attention to quality and casting. Extremely recommended for those who love this era of history and also like to paint a quality casting.

Thanks Roman. Coming from you, who alot of us feel is one of the top casters in Europe, that is a great compliment. It is great to see figures and busts that go together and come from quality casting companies.

Mine arrived in the mail from Steve at S.K. Miniatures the other day and it really is one of the finest busts I have ever encountered. Yury has definitely set a new standard and I can only hope there will be many more to come.:D:D
