I do not consider myself other than an average club painter so do not habitually post completed work on the forum. I have been busy over the last 12 months and really enjoying my painting although the hands are getting a bit more shaky and the eyesight required a stronger magnifier....LOL.

Having seen your work in person Keith, I (for what it's worth) rate you as a rather good painter, and it's nice to see some of the fruits of your labours on here. I especially like the Grenadier Colonel.

Anyway it would be a sad day if pF were to go all elitist and cliquey (like P&P once was), and become the sole domain of a handful of Master painters. After all, "club painters" (which most of us are) are the lifeblood of the hobby. So post away mate! (y)

Superb selection of Napoleonic's and very well painted. Thanks for sharing.
Who makes the bust of the Tambour Major 17th Line?

Hi Bob, the Tambour major bust was one of a few mini busts that stu did s couple of years back. Mark Bennett was also selling them. I bought half a dozen different ones mainly to practice painting faces a real bugbare of mine. Not sure if there are any still available, might be worth dropping a pm to stu.

Keith.

Beautiful collection and impressive work, I am a bit envie of the numbers you have achieved in a year.
You are way too modest with your own opinion in your skills as a painter.
Will be looking for more :)

Thank you all for your kind comments-the real weakness in my painting was exposed a month or so back when I took some figures to a club event-they were much brighter than the others on display. I'm crap at colour mixing and rely on out of the tube colours mainly with other bits mixed in-there seems to be an art in de-saturating your colours if that is the right term, something I need to explore and learn more about............in this hobby we never stop learning!

Thanks again....Keith
