Just about finished this fine release from Nuts Planet. I still have a few nooks and crannies to darken before I can call it finished. This is the first time since I was a kid that I've done a fantasy figure, but this release just caught my eye and I had to have it. It was a welcome change of pace and a lot of fun to do, so please feel free to make suggestions as you see fit.

That's a really nice piece of work :)

Thanks Brian, Johan and Ben. Somtimes its good for us to step out of our comfort zone a little bit in order to try something new. I don't think I could do a lot of fantasy stuff, (although more and more fantasy figures are being released in 75mm, my favorite scale) but the variety of textures on this figure presented a real challenge and forced me to stretch my painting skills, so well worth it.

Thanks Pedro. I used a purple/violet oil paint in my flesh tone mix for the first time ever. Usually, I'm just doing a face on a military figure, so the whole upper body presented a new challenge.

Really nice work man. Great palette. Tons and tons of attitude and character.
Don't be afraid to dip your toes in the fantasy/sci fi pool more often.

Well done

Colin

Thanks Colin, that won't be a difficult decision if they keep putting out figures like this! I have one other on the workbench, in a sort of holding pattern. That's Nocturna's winged Griffin with the wee knight riding on the griffins back. It's a 54mm and I've had him for about a year now. Just need to finish it off and get asuitable base.
