I don't believe I 've ever finished two projects inside of a week, but I managed just that when I put the finishing touches on this diorama in 75 mm. These figures are from the Fusilier line, which I have painted pretty much right out of the box. The ground work is a piece of landscaping bark I fished out of a flower bed from a city park, and covered with some plaster of paris. I only have the one client, who fortunately loves anything to do with Custer and the battle of Little Bighorn, so I am confident he'll like this piece, or at least I hope so.

Looks great, I especially like the way that it can be observed from a few different angles. It is a good example of what could be termed an 'outwards looking' vignette, as there is clearly a threat to the occupants of the base from somewhere off it. This is a good thing as it leads the viewer to imagine what the threat might be etc.

The men being on slightly different levels makes it work as well.

Of course none of all this works if the figures are rubbish, and this is clearly not the case with this piece of work, they look very built and painted.

Look forward to more stuff!
