Dan, be sure to take some photos in the sunlight to give the dio some nice harsh shadows of the figs on the groundwork :)

Hi Gordy. this is a very tough piece to photograph because of it's size and the different ground levels it has, plus the fact that I live in a 6 story apartment building so it might be a little tough to do. When I take it to the MMSI show I'll try to get some photos.

Understood ;)

I look forward to seeing it in person (y)

I'm not a great fan of Nazis, and the LAH deserved whatever they got in Russia. However, this piece of work is just outstanding in both composition and execution. I envy you your skill with a paintbrush.

Best wishes,

Mike

thats cool Mike. I'm not a fan of Nazi's either but I am somewhat intrigued by depicting their uniforms and equipment as well as the battles that took place in the east. I certainly do not model them because I like them nor do I think you are implying that but I just want to clarify. Thanks much for your comments.

Simply as brilliant as it gets. Monumental achievement in every aspect.
Congratulations on an artistic benchmark.

Dan I have to say you never fail to impress me bro. That is one amazing diorama. I can't wait to see this in person. I hope you make the Long Island Show with this great piece!

Amazing work Dan, you sure have a great talent and the painting is just top notch. I am actualy getting some of those figures for my 1/16th dio, if I can get near your paint job then I will be thrilled.

All the best
Dave

Hi Grant...

Amazing work Dan.
Superb work all round.
Can I ask how long this project toook you?
Gellso.

the project took about 3-1/2 months in total. I kinda cheated though because I finished the tank a few years ago and it was just collecting dust on a shelf. I did do some extensive weathering to it but it was already built. Thanks for the response!
