I always go with the old adage, "Its the illusion of reality, not reality itself" With that in mind, this is absolutely spectacular!(y)(y)(y)(y)(y). I agree with pedro, if this were real, the majority of the Soviet tank riders would be chewed up with the panzerfausts. I also agree that the use or, "overuse" of the symbols and such would help someone not familiar with the subject matter better appreciate the scene as a whole, Great job!:notworthy::notworthy:

Absolutely stunning, its one thing to do a nice figure but is something else to paint 20 or so and add a piece of armour and buildings etc and make it all work together from every angle. Love it

Superb details in a dramatic scene Dan.
I think the Germans will inflict heavy damages in the outnumbered Russian patrol...
Well done!!!!(y)

ps: wich mix (greys) did you used to paint the building?
Thanks in advance.

hello Pedro. I mixed deck tan, khaki and some dark gray until I got the concrete tone I liked. I then mixed some white for the airbrushed hi-lites. Thanks!

Dan,first class execution on all aspects,a superb job with all the detailing and painting and most importantly it tells a story, the figures are interacting with each other and reacting to the ambush threat,i keep looking and admiring the small details like the oil can on the tank and i love the crushed oil drum under the tank tracks, these sort of details are what really make dioramas and you have nailed it,well done and thanks for posting,(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

Awesome work. Great. bravo. The only think that is missing is the sound. But looking at the photos you think that you can hear the sounds of the battle.
Cheers from Crete
