this is my latest diorama called "Looking for Ivan". It depicts elements of the LSSAH Panzer grenadier division during the counter attack at Kharkov in early winter of 1943. It is some soldiers on foot as well as a few tank riders on a PzIII on a mop up mission to clean up some straggler Russian troops in the area. When the PzIII comes upon an improvised roadblock they sit and wait while some of the grenadiers probe the factory ahead of them. Three Russian troops are waiting with guns drawn ready to fight off the attack as they are trapped with nowhere to go. The tank is the DML PzII ausf. M from DML and was built for me by my good friend and master modeller Brian J Tears. Some of you may know Brian from his excellent masters that he has done for Tiger Models in the past. The factory section and boiler is a Royal Model offering that I have slightly modified. The figures are mostly from the Tank range with most having replacement heads. The balance are from Stalingrad, Evolution, DML and Warriors. the retaining wall is scratchbuilt with balsa foam and the other bunch of goodies are spares from other projects. The snow was created with Woodland Scenics "soft flake" fixed with MIG pigment fixture. As usual I'm not happy with the photos but due to extreme time constraints it's the best I can do,
