Hi Guys ,

Its always good to see a new bust that will tempt me and the latest from the top notch company in China LINJO is certainly one .

So for the summer (hopefully we might actually get one in the UK!!!;) ) release in July and hot on the heels of the wonderful de Grouchy we have :

Title: Trumpet Major (Red Lancers) Circa 1812

Scale : 200mm

No of pieces: 6

Material: Resin

Sculptor : Chunmei Zhou

Reference No: LJ 2023

As with most Napoleonic the subject matter is very colourful and this is no exception , the golds (a NMM painters dream) and the reds together with the white uniform epitomises the full dress of this period.

Lots to paint on this one , together with a a real nice "grizzled" look of the veteran in the facial features.

I hope to be able to do a full review on this one in the near future so...as they say watch this space .

For now enjoy the pictures (n)

Perhaps a little defiance of gravity with the bearskin cords given the angle of the head and the plume could be a bit better . nit picking I suppose but at this scale there also needs to be more detail . brutal honesty

Great figure and subject matter. I agree with Eduardo - looks like he's had a few napoleon brandies going by the nose.

A very nice piece. The face reminds me of an English actor I have seen somewhere, the name escapes me though. Definately likes a drop to drink though looking at that nose.
