Your best effort! Fleshtone is awesome and the highlights and shadows are amazing...can't wait to see the next piece!
All the best

Thank you all for the comments. However I need to say a big thank you to Patrick Kirk for his help and advice.

The flesh tones are all Windsor and Newton oil paints.

The metal mixes are from Mike Blank. For the white metals a base of Humbrol gloss black. Then silver printers ink, gloss black, burnt umber oil paint. Get a good dark shiney metal paint. Leave to dry. I then washed it with a mix of Gloss Black, burnt umber, lamp black and prussian blue oil paint. The highlights were done with silver printers ink.

For gold, a base coat of bark brown. then a mix of gold printers ink, gloss black and burnt umber oil paint. I then washed with some Burnt umber and prussian blue oil paint. highlights are with Gold Ink. This is really nice way to paint metals and is well worth a try.

The bust is from Sabre design an Australian compnay I belive it was in resin with the nose guard in White metal. As for scale approx 300mm.

I will have a go at matting down the cloak.

Hi John.

A very lifelike rendering! Nice job.
The helmet and face look very good, and it is easy to mistake the photo for a reenactor, as Bob said.

Cheers
Andy
