I understand the logic behind what Nello has done but it’s very limiting in MHO, I personally think he is alienating a vast number of people by doing it this way. I’ve seen other kick start where it’s broken down into smaller batches. Ok its more work but the benefits are the same if not better.
Or. Why not do it the conventional way and release them as I’ve said before in periods i,e Napoleonic. Release them as individuals ,people that want them all will buy them, others that only want one can do so, You could do this over the 5 months and the out come I believe would be better.
The kickstart way puts pressure on the caster to deliver vast numbers of kits in 2 Different scales. We know at TFB the issues with large numbers of figures. We split the casting in two, foot figures going to Macone in Spain and the busts in house. And it can be full on.
So the time scale for them to be shipped I understand with the numbers involved. But still think a steady release over a period of time would both be efficient and still profitable. But it’s Nello’s business model and as I posted before we wish him well.
