I've been away for awhile but I,m back. Here are some shots of my latest piece. It's a 1/10th scale German Panzer Sgt. I did the figure using leftover sprue, melted and shaped. It's painted in oils, but painting not a strong suite for. Hope you enjoy

Hi there captfue,

Just seen this all credit to you for producing this , certainly different the way it comes out to you from the frame ,, and you used melted sprue as well ....have you used any sculpting putty before .

All of the model is sprue ...not a bad job on the face

The scale looks larger than 1/10th but it's probably me !!

To be honest you probably chose the hardest colour to paint IMO and it looks ok , with every model you do the painting will get better as we all learn with each completed project .

Look forward to seeing more from you

Thanks for sharing

I love what you have done with this bust, its almost a relief sculpture blending into a full round figure - a nice concept!

Please develop this style, its an original and unique way of bring a subject to life (y)

I gave no idea how you would go about producing a bust in molten spruce. There are certainly easier compounds to work with. But you havre produced a nice bust mounted in an interesting way.

Using the frame was kind of an after thought.. ran out of shelve space so all I had left was the walls.. was fairly inexpensive also a $1.00 for the frame , the background piece is a free sample from Home Depo. The sprue I used was given to me by model builders .. I'll work on doing a SBS for the next piece.

Hey Anthony good to see you back mate, hope things are good with you and the family.
Excellent work on the bust, good to see you are still producing figures and you are definitely the master at sculpting with molten sprue (y)

All the best
Steve

Thanks Steve....Judy and I just had our 29th aniversiry yesterday. Love looking at the things your producing these days. Lost your E-mail Mate can you shoot me a copy of it! Working on a SBS using lost wax and resin

And when I classified bust as hunting trophee or car hood ornament, I was asked to be more gentle ;)

But.. nicely painted
