Beautiful painting and groundwork.
Looks great but can I suggest pics with the background board/sheet at little further back from the figure.
So you don't get any shadow, and the background colour is a little out of focus which leaves the figure highlighted sharply in the foreground.

Nice job ilija. Raul Latorre is one of my favorite sculptors indeed. I've just finished his Grenadier Guard Officer from the Crimea as my latest as well.

Nicely restrained weathering, very convincing.
Excellent groundwork, sets the figure off nicely and contasts with the faded 'red'

Mike Raul Latorre is one of my favorite sculptors too. I like very much his work.
I still learn about fotography and background and it is very difficult to me to blend together all.....
