I have some of the 54mm "Personnalités du I Empire" series sculpted by Bruno Leivobitz in the late 80s-early 90s and they are excellent sculpts and castings, BUT it seems the moulds are now well beyond their normal operating live and recent castings are next to toy soldiers. If you are looking for any of those figures, try to have a look at the actual casting you intend to buy before paying for it.

I cannot comment on other series/sculptor's works.

Hope it helps

Oh that's not good. They wouldn't be the only manufacturer guilty of this by any means but it's annoying that they can't take a more professional attitude toward the standard of their output.

I think that thes are fantastic figures, I've only done one and it was the 180mm Hussar, I was so impressed with the model that I went out and purchased another 180mm figure the Polish Lancer trumpeter.

Can't comment on the 54mm.

I would recommend the 180mm.

I have an SBS in new to figures of the Hussar, that you might like to take a look at. I found the casting impressive.

That is good to hear. I ordered the 180mm Chasseur.

I painted a number of Le Cimier figures back in the '80's, mostly the 90mm drummers. At that time they were exceptional figures and their 54mm figures were very nicely cast as well. I can't testify to their current quality, but, I the molds weren't prpoerly maintained then, of course the quality will suffer. I wouldn't purchase one without first examining one "in the flesh".
Best!
