i'll be printing one of my other little guys next so i'll try it standing straight up and separated where possible. I thought sculpting keys on something this fiddly would be useless but i think i made an error with scale.

I thought mini's were supposed to be 32mm from foot to top of head, which this guy is, but i stand him against an old savage orc from GW and he looks tiny! i shall make the next one slightly larger

I think You got me wrong. Standing straight is exactly the thing You have to avoid
Read carefully the Shapeways link I send You - it will be clear

About the keys in such small scale I can tell You what others told me: make them oval and without sharp edges.
