I seem to remember this one being done before in the dim & distant, but members have come & gone since so I thought it was worth a repeat.
So to start things off, mine is belts and webbing. No matter what scale, I almost always struggle with them before I'm at a point where I'm happy (or can say "it'll do"). Get them right and they can really enhance a piece. But get them wrong and they can ruin it, even if the rest of the paint-job is top-notch.
There's no getting away from them either, pretty much every figure from every era has at least one.
