I posted this on Facebook yesterday..

It is with a heavy heart that I have heard the sad news that a long time friend Lee Chandler has passed away at the weekend.

A talented painter and converter who won gold at Euro in the early years.

It was Lee who first introduce me to military modelling and the Gravesham model club.

He will be sadly missed and our thoughts go out to his wife and family.

Many modeler knew Lee and how passionate he was about the hobby, he always had time to pass on his experience and knowledge to anyone who asked.

Sad news indeed John. He was at one time a regular contributor to military modelling magazine. I didn't know him personally but l am sure many will read this who knew him from his appearances at Euro.

I never knew Lee personally, but I always recall reading his articles with interest and he always seemed such a genuine guy.
My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.

I did know Lee Personally and he was a great guy. He had been battling cancer off and on for a number of years now and he lost his ability to do any modeling a few years ago. That is very sad for a fellow that was so talented at his craft. With condolences to his lovely wife Sharon.
