Yeehaa!

Andrew! Your help is invaluable! I didn't notice it either. I think it won't be too much of a problem to fix it. I'll make a seam on the shoulders and grind the unnecessary collar flat.
Thank you again!
It's a pity that I didn't find your thread sooner. Can I use your photo on my forum to illustrate the problem?

Stay safe, friends.

That's a decent likeness of Napoleon Solo aka Robert Vaughn. He was a good actor - shame he got a bit type cast in that awful spoof Bond series. I liked him in "Bridge at Remagen"
I'm on this one!

Hi Marcin

Nice update again using the Nuln ..the start of achieving the result you want ( I bought a bottie after Geoff Charman put me onto it )

Look forward to seeing this progress

Happy benchtime

:) A nice, little bottle of Nuln oil is always handy!:)

A few light gray layers and the shirt is basically ready, the transitions are soft, look good in any light - day, shadow, bulb.

Vest - dark gray base:

Step 2 - you guessed it! - nuln oil ;)

Have a best day!

Hi!
I slightly shaded the bottom, perhaps unnecessarily, because probably after further work the effect will not be visible and I will have to tweak the contrast.

Stripes.
The layout is most visible in these photos.

I started out painting the lapels but it was average, basically hopeless and decided to go for a different method.
There are eight black stripes between the corner of the lapel and the hem of the vest, including the outermost ones. I'll start by assigning them, then move to the armpit. I will repeat the same on the other side.

Cheers!

Hi Marcin

Thanks for updates

Very impressive lining ....you have done a really good job ......will you highlight on the folds ?

I know when I did the "Glory" bust from Mitches with stripes .......a lot of holding my breath !!

Look forward to the lapels being done

Happy lining in at the bench
