Hi Steve.
Oh How I would love to do something like catching giant catfish on the Mississippi.
When I used to fish a lot,it was mainly on pits, lakes and canals.
I did do some river fishing and My best ever fish was a 14 1/4 pound barbel on the river severn.
My next best fish was a 12 pound carp.
What I mainly did was to fish for smaller fish and build up a good weight in total..

Hi Jon.
I can remember some of the day and catching about 4/5 Barbel and a few Chub,this was in 1988/89,summertime.
What I can't remember is exactly where we were,I think around the Shrewsbury area.
I used to fish in so many places in the 80's(with my boss from work)that I can't remember half the places I went.
I know I'm never going to match catching a fish like that ever again,to be honest I think it was just pure luck that such a fish took my bait.

I've been having a lot more positive thoughts about leaving the house.
I'll be going to the stoke show in a few weeks and a couple of weeks after that I'll be going fishing.
I've been going through all my tackle and all seems fine.

Well I ordered a new chair for fishing,as my old one no longer fits my requirements.
This chair has an adjustable back rest and forces me to sit up straight. I can add all sorts to this chair and I also ordered a feeder arm for it, just need to get a side tray and rear rod rest and it will be ready to go.
