Looks great, very nice brushwork and the groundwork will be the icing on the cake, we all get that I've had it with this feeling and the only thing is to soldier on until you arrive at the it will do rightly stage and get on with the next project, however this wee vignette looks fine to me.

It looks mighty fine to me.I wouldn't have guessed any of the problems you've mentioned because none is visible.Even in these pics which you claim are not good it looks fantastic.Labour well devoted.Love the idea of the base too.
